Makeup Trends for 2007

Paris, Milan, New York…Milwaukee? Wherever You Live, You Can Be a Trendsetter in Your Own Hometown

From the catwalks of New York and Milan, to the runways of Paris, or standing in front of your makeup mirror, you can achieve the latest look and be a trendsetter in your own hometown. Just be a savvy consumer, find out about new products, and then play. “Look to what’s new in making your skin and complexion fabulous. Last season’s products are out of date,” says BJ Gillian, top cosmetic guru, who creates palette strategies for some of the top companies in the industry. He has helped create “the look” for P&G Beauty, Boots #7, and Avon products, as well as introducing the Cover Girl brand to the Chinese media in Beijing.

BJ takes a lively, modern approach to makeup. Although quite often you’ll find him applying the latest makeup trends to such celebrities as Jennifer Anniston, Teri Hatcher, George Clooney, Naomi Campbell, and Christy Brinkley just to name a few, he has some practical advice for those of us who are not famous faces. He urges men and women to invest in skin care. The most important step is to pay attention to your skin. Take a good look at your face and deal with the breakouts, dark circles, and other issues you might have. Invest in a palette - products and colors – that will help you look great under any circumstances.

BJ reminds us that cosmetic formulas change as quickly as the seasons. “Be a savvy consumer at every price point,” he says. “There are great products in the drugstores and the department stores. Look for what is available for skin types and always look for what’s new.” His goal is to provide women with “easy, practical solutions to their needs, and combine them with just enough unique magic” to create the look they dream about.

Read all of BJ’s Tips – right here at CareFair - for a great looking face this season. There’s no time like the present to start your dream!
